Deals with the Devil Never Pay off

The above link is to a horrible blog. However I felt it was worth the nausea of offering it any air time to illustrate an important point. Aside for the obvious lack of research and understanding of this case the civil suit that is being used to try and silence Alex and the locals from expressing their outrage against those believed to be involved in the gang rape of an unconscious 16 year old girl, who went with boys she believed to be her friends, there are other important factors they are missing and are harming themselves more than anyone else as a result.

Every person involved in online media should have a firm understanding of the first amendment, defamation law, and absolutely US Code Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. I commented on this site that seemed to serve as an advocate for a few bloggers in the past whom Alex at one point or another called out on various issues. They have used this suit for their own purposes. To get their “story” heard about how THEY have suffered. They have recognized that this civil suit will likely bring a brighter spotlight on this case and on our coverage. This was predicted along time ago by me when early on when I clearly saw what we were dealing with.  I knew it was a matter of time before someone there in Steubenville would resort to such a desperate attempt to silence us. I also knew they would bite off more than they can chew and end up helping us do what we have been trying to do all along. Point more eyes on Steubenville and the the plights of the many there who have suffered under the weight of corruption. History teaches us that the fall of tyranny often begins with hubris that leads an over extension of one’s power.

I commented on this site to first explain that these “victim” bloggers who are calling OH TV stations, Newspapers and various blogs seem to be out to help no one but themselves by trying to catch some of the attention that can be better spent on this GANG RAPE case and the CORRUPTION many believe to be the cause for a sad miscarriage of justice. I made other points too, in fact, just to be safe I’ll post it here and this bloggers obvious lack of understanding of what is going on here and how their obvious ignorance and myopia is hurting themselves :

Here is what we are dealing with in Steubenville. The whinings of bloggers such as Murtagh or Blaiss mean nothing because that’s all they offer readers…nothing.

Read their blogs then look at Prinniefied. Where hers shows years of passionate no holds barred analysis of the suffering of others and appeals for compassion for the victims, these others are seem to mostly show years of hate rants and whinings about personal suffering and all the people they blame for their crappy life and appeals for compassion for themselves. They do all this then in the face of a bogus suit that challenges every bloggers freedom essentially, they start contacting papers, tv reporters, tabloid blogs and more, yelling their I told you so’s practically showing sympathy for the rapists, but mostly trying to get some spotlight to get their plight heard by more ears and more hits on their pathetic waste of time and brain power blogs…no discussion about the rape victim, her family, a city thankful that we are able to speak out where they can’t, the history of corruption in this town, no Prinnie and I have labored together for months to expose this stuff and so much more. Not them…..and THEY have the nerve to call HER self serving?

Don’t take my word for it, she doesn’t really need my help defending her. Just look at their pages and their words here, which I’m sure will be here in droves now. They usually bury themselves with their flawed logic and inconsistent arguments and actions.

The only reason I’ve approved your comment is so that, if necessary, the Saltsman’s can use it against you and Ms. Goddard in their defamation case. Otherwise? Get lost. You are not welcome here.

Do you see what I see? The larger claims made by this suit and the Saltsman’s attorneys is that comments made by 3rd parties on Alex’s blog are Alex’s responsibility and that the law ought to punish her for it. Despite the above cited federal law that says the exact opposite. For whatever reason the moderator of Gossiping Pens found my words offensive and more than that,  grounds for the Saltsman to also hold a claim of defamation against me, so in order to “stick it to me” she says she is going to go ahead and publish my 3rd party “defaming” words on her blog’s comments. Need I say more!!!????

The myopia and petty self-serving agendas of Gossiping Pens  and others like them  is blinding them to the ways that by making a deal with the devil to destroy an enemy are only destroying themselves and in the end find themselves paying a much higher cost. A victory of such a suit could open the door a larger loss to many more people than Alex.

Murtaugh, Blaiss, Gossining Pens, and all the others looking to only benefit themselves with our Gang Rape coverage and the attempts to silence us and the citizens who are daring to take a stand; even if you have no care for this young rape victim and the many abused and oppressed citizens whom are now also being robbed by you and exploited so that you can take what is theirs in order to feed your selfish ambitions, at least see it in this way, supporting such a ridiculous legal claim is giving permission and credence to the next oversensitive scumbag and their lawyers who may come along to silence YOU!!!

Grow-up, get up, and take this opportunity to use your blog to actually do something productive and beneficial, if for no one else but yourself.
